Spring ColourPop Purchase Haul!

I hope that everyone had a great Easter! Mine was pretty relaxing! We had some family friends over for dinner! Loads of fun! On another note, I can not believe that I have less than a month left of school! Where has the time gone?!
Anyways, today’s post is another makeup haul! I ordered some lippies from ColourPop during Spring Break and received them a little bit before Easter!
ColourPop is what I would describe as a “start up” cosmetics company in Los Angeles, California! They create lip colours, Blushes, Highlighters, Gel Liners, Eyeshadows, ……….. etc. And a big plus, they have a TON of shades to choose from all for under $10!
I split this post into three categories due to the fact that I tried several shades of their three lip products: Lippie Stix, Ulta Matte Liquid Lipstick, and Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick.

First let’s start off with the Lippie Stix:

I purchased three Lippie Stix! The first color that I received was ColourPop Lippie Stix in Brink-$5. It has a matte finish and is described as a “warm dusty taupe”. I have to be extremely careful with Brink because if I apply too many layers I end up looking like Tyrone Biggums. LOL.  This color did not really suit my skin tone, but if you have fairer skin I think that this shade would look amazing as an everyday nude.
The next color that I received was ColourPop Lippie Stix in LBB-$5. It has a matte finish and is described as a “rich plum wine”. I love this color! This color is extremely beautiful and it is a perfect color for the spring! I definitely think that anyone can get away with wearing this color!
The last Lippie Stix color that I received was ColourPop Lipie Stix in Lady-$5. It has a matte finish and is described as a “cool toned dirty burgundy”. This color was really interesting! I Normally, I would not purchase a “cool-toned” lip color because my skin has warm tones, but this one still looked great!
Overall, I would have to give these ColourPop Lippie Stix a 7/10. First off, all three of these Lippie Stix were described on the website as having a “matte finish, but I disagree! When I think of a matte finish, I think ZERO SHINE! (and you can clearly see that these are quite shiny!). A little disappointing…. Second, the scent of the Lippie Stix took a little getting used to. The one good thing about this product is that it is extremely creamy and smooth, and applies extremely well!
Now on to the Ultra Matte Lip’s!
The name of this product truly represents what they are: “ULTRA MATTE LIP”. These babies lasted on my lips for hours without ever having to reapply. That being said, with them staying on all day, they are A PAIN to remove. I literaly had to scrub my lips with my makeup towel, and my lips were still stained (as you can see in some of the photos) because I swatched all four of them right after each other. Imagine the Youtubers that review the ENTIRE Ultra Matte Lip collection?! 25+ shades?! Let’s say a moment of silence for their lips! May they be graced with Chapstick afterwards!! I purchased four Ultra Matte Lip’s!
The first Ultra Matte lip color that I picked up was ColourPop Ultra Matte in Bumble– $6. It as a matte finish and is described as a “dusty warm terracotta”. I found this color to be very odd on my lips. It looked a little strange almost as if it was too light but then at the same time it looked nice. I really could not decide! After a couple of trial runs I came to the conclusion that I CAN wear this color but only if I put a thin layer of foundation underneath.  As far as everyone else, I think that this color will look beautiful on anyone with fair skin.
The second Ultra Matte lip color that I picked up was ColourPop Ultra Matte in Tulle– $6. It as a matte finish and is described as a “dusty mauve burgundy”. Out of all the Ultra Matte Lip colors that I purchased, this one is probably my second favorite! It is the perfect fall color for any skin tone!
The third Ultra Matte lip color that I picked up was ColourPop Ultra Matte in Bad Habit– $6. It has a matte finish and is described as a “dusty mauve pink”. Out of all of the Ultra Matte Lip’s colors that I purchased, this one is my favorite! I actually wore it on Easter! I have to say that on me, this color looked like a dark fuchsia rather than a dusty mauve pink. But I am sure that it varies upon skin colors!
The last Ultra Matte lip color that I picked up was ColourPop Ultra Matte in Avenue– $6. It as a matte finish and is described as a “deep yellow red”. Ok at this point can we say RIP to my lips… I have never been one to wear red lipstick because I always struggled to find a shade that looked nice on me. This color is a really pretty red that I think I can definitely wear! Unfortunately, the application for this color was a tad bit patchy, but it is do-able.
Overall, I will give these ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip’s a 10/10! I absolutely love them! Do not let the inexpensive price tag make you think that these products are cheap quality! They are amazing and extremely pigmented, dry matte, and stay on all day! Be sure to exfoliate your lips when you wear these because they are extremely drying and can cause chapped lips! I am definitely looking to purchase more colors in the future!
Last but not least, my favorite product of my purchase: The Ultra Satin Lip’s! This product is actually  new to ColourPop and they are like nothing that I have ever seen! This Ultra Satin Lip that I purchased was Colour Pop Ultra Satin Lip in Frick N’ Frack– $6! It has a comfortable matte finish and is described as a “rosy terra-cotta”. I have to describe this formula as something mousse-like. It is obviously liquid like the Ultra Matte lips but it is not wet dripping liquid? I don’t know how else to describe it, but to understand what I mean compare how the formula looks on Ultra Matte Lip’s vs the Ultra Satin Lip’s.
I have to give this product a 10/10! It truly surprised me and exceeded my expectations! While it is not transfer proof like the Ultra Matte Lips, it lasted on my lips for quite a while. The thing that I like about this formula is that while it still dries matte on the lips, it feels extremely comfortable on the lips and does not feel as drying! As for the color, I found this color to be extremely beautiful! I definitely plan to purchase more of these just because I love how they applied and felt on my lips!
I definitely recommend that you guys check out ColourPop and the products that they offer on their website!  There are so many products and colors to choose from, so I think that it will be extremely easy to find something that you like! Also, if you are new to the website and are interested in purchasing some items, create an Colourpop account they will give you $5 off your first purchase!
Have any of you tried ColourPop’s products?
