I can not believe that another month has flown by! Where has the time gone?
Today, I rounded up and am sharing some of my favorites items that I have used in the past month!
1. Sinful Colors GelTech Nail Polish
Those of you who are familiar with my blog, know that I have mentioned a couple times that I actually prefer to do my own nails rather than getting them done! That being said, I am constantly looking for new colors to add to my collection! Aside from the fact that they retail at $2.99 per bottle, I have to say that I was really impressed with the formula of the polishes in this collection! They apply smoothly, are not streaky, do not chip, and last a long time.
After testing out a few of the colors, I will say that they lasted about a week and a half on my fingernails and two and a half weeks on my toes. To apply the polish, I use my Essie Base Coat, the Sinful Colors Gel Tech Color, and I finish it off with the Sinful Colors Gel Tech Top Coat. I do not cure my nails with a UV light (I just let them air-dry), so I wonder if I did if they would last even longer? Any who, I will definitely be purchasing more colors in the future!
2. Kombucha
I love shopping at Whole Foods and I have always seen Kombucha on the shelves, but have been too afraid to try it. If you are not familiar with Kombucha, it is essentially a fermented and sweetened tea that has a lot of health benefits! My mom ended up purchasing a bottle and she let me try it and it was SO GOOD! I have tried a few flavors within the Cosmic Kombucha brand, but so far this one has been the only one that I like.
One thing that I will say is that if you tend to suffer from oral food allergies or if your body is extremely sensitive to certain foods, I suggest trying one flavor at a time because they all have different ingredients in them. One time, I tried a different flavor and I woke up to a puffy and swollen face. I still have yet to figure out which specific ingredient in which tea it was……. Just be sure to read the ingredients!
4. Living Proof Humidity Shield Hairspray
This Living Proof No Frizz Humidity Shield hairspray is the BEST! I have tried a few hairsprays here and there but this one is the only one that seems to work for me and my hair. I never really use hairspray in my hair except for right after I get a fresh blow dry or when I am trying to create a part in my hair. Although I am not a fan of the scent, it is extremely lightweight, not greasy, and controls the frizz!
5. Real Techniques Miracle Sculpting Sponge
How cute is this Real Techniques Miracle Sculpting Sponge?! I am a sucker for anything pink! I love Real Techniques makeup brushes because not only are they extremely affordable and soft, but with them your makeup applies evenly leaving you to look FLAWLESS!
While the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge has always been my go-to, I like this sponge better because of the pointy tip as it allows be to maneuver concealer better under my eyes.
6. MAC 36 Brush
This has been my go-to brush when applying shadows in my crease! My grandparents live in Trinidad and I only get to see them once a year. That being said, when they come to visit my grandma always brings a ton of makeup items that she no longer wants or never used and gives them to me.
This time around, one of those items happened to be this brush! I have a few eyeshadow brushes for my crease but not of them do that great of a job at blending as this one! Since it is an older brush from MAC I was not able to find the exact same one to link, but I did find one that was similar.
7. Kendra Scott Jewelry
One of my best friends went to Ecuador for Spring Break with a group of students from our university, and prior to leaving they hosted a fundraising event at our local Kendra Scott store. Y’all know I had to go and support her and while I only intended on walking out with one thing…… I ended up walking out with two. Oops! Sometimes you just have to treat yourself! I ended up purchasing the Lee Rose Gold Drop Earrings in Rose Gold Drusy and a Kasey Necklace in Chocolate Drusy (which was a seasonal item and is now discontinued).
8. Mirrored Aviators
Mirrored Aviators have been one of my favorite fashion trends that I do not think will ever fade! They are so chic, fun, and come in a variety of colors! I purchased these Mirrored Aviators from Charlotte Russe for $6 and I have been wearing them non-stop! When it comes to sunglasses, I like to spend less $$$ so that I can own more pairs.
9. Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Wink
How gorgeous is this lippie? Wink is a deep berry Ultra Satin Lip from Colourpop’s Winter Collection! I love the formula of the Ultra Satin Lip because it is not drying and super comfortable on the lips. Unfortunately they discontinued this shade, but I highly recommend checking out the other shades in the Ultra Satin Lip Collection as they are only $6!
10. Colourpop Highlighter in Churro
The name of this highlighter makes me hungry! LOL. The first time that Colourpop launched this highlighter it was limited edition and I did not get a chance to get my hands on it. I was super disappointed but was so happy that they decided to re-launch it!
Churro is described as a coppery peach with flips of gold shimmer and silver glitter. Something that I love about this highlighter is that it is actually a mixture of three highlighters, Avalon, Wisp, and Stole The Show! The different shimmers give off a beautiful warm golden glow! This was my first time trying Colorupop’s Highlighter and for $8 I definately recommend them as the formula is extremely easy to work with.
11. Coach Wristlet
I received this wristlet as a Christmas gift from my parents and it has made my life so much easier! How pretty is the color?! I love this wristlet because it has two main compartments. The first compartment features slots for cash and cards and the second slot is an open space, to which is large enough space for me to store my Epi-Pen and other things.
Something that is also cool is that Coach gives you the option to monogram your wristlet tags. However, because my wristlet is metallic leather I had to for an additional tag because the letters would have peeled off. To complement it, I also added this supper cute tassel portable charger that I purchased from Charming Charlie’s because I because I always like to have a phone charger on me.
What were some of your March Favorites? Do we have any in common?
