Today I am super excited to share some swatches from ColourPop Cosmetics from the Lux Lipstick line. If you have been following my blog for a while, you will know that I am a huge fan of ColourPop Cosmetics. Not only are their products super affordable (under $10) but the quality is actually really great.
In the past, I have swatched the Ultra Matte Lip, Satin Lip and Lippie Stix lines of lip products. These lipsticks are all part of the Creme Lux Lipstipsticks which is a completely different formula. Within this line, there are two formula’s: matte and creme. All of the lipsticks that I swatched in this post had a creme finish. These lipsticks in this line are all $7.50 and apply so smooth and evenly. As far as longevity, just like any of my other lip products, I typically only need to reapply after lunch.
Let’s get into the swatches!
C’mon Sis is a soft pinky brown. It is a shade from the first collaboration that MakeupShayla did with Colourpop Cosmetics (one of my main reasons for purchasing it!) Out of all the shades that I purchased, this one was the lightest one. Due to it being so light, I would probably wear it with a nude lip liner to help it blend better.
Angel City is described as a dusty berry. Out of all the shades that I purchased, this one was by far my FAVORITE! Although ColourPop describes it as a dusty berry, on my skin it showed up as more of a coral with berry hues. If you have warm undertones, I think that this shade would be super flattering and it is perfect for summer!
What If is described as a cool-toned fuchsia and it probably one of the more daring shades that I purchased. I tend to shy away from bright colors like this because I feel like I look silly, but I can definitely see myself wearing this shade a lot during the summer!
27 is described as a deep plummy beige, and I will say that I think that this shade is my second favorite shade out of all the colors that I purchased. I would say that it swatches as more rose/terracotta rather than a deep plummy beige which makes it extremely versatile. Out of all the shades that I purchased, so far this has been the one that I have worn the most.
Brick is described as a plummy brown. It is very similar to 27 but it has a more of a cool, plum brown and grey hue. On my skin, it swatched warmer rather than a cool hue, but that may be due to the fact that I have warm undertones.
Gallop is described as a true terra-cotta and is another one of my favorite shades. I think that this shade is so beautiful and unique! If you follow me on Instagram, this is the shade that I was wearing in my Instagram photo for this blog post.
Liquid Courage is described as a brick red. I normally steer clear of red lip colors, just because I find them to be a little bit too bold for me and that I can only wear ones with warm brick undertones. If you are like me, then this one is the perfect red shade! I would recommend pairing it with a red or brown lip liner to avoid the lipstick bleeding.
Sashay is described as a deep burgundy. This shade is super bold and I would probably only wear it on night out or in the Fall. In natural light, it appears to have a darker and more purple/red hue. I would highly recommend pairing a lip liner with this shade to avoid bleeding just because it is so dark.
Have any of you all tried any of these lipsticks in this collections?
