I am so thankful to be able to celebrate another birthday! 21! Wohoo! I have been having the best day! Earlier, I went to lunch with a few of my best friends and sorority sisters and later on I will be going out for dinner with some more friends. For my 21st birthday, I decided to do something fun and share 21 facts about me with you all!

1. I wasn’t named after the cartoon “Daria” on MTV. I actually get asked this a lot! I have never watched the show before but I looked it up on YouTube and they pronounce her name like Dah-ree-uh. I pronounce my name like Dare-eeee-uh!
2. I am studying Marketing and Visual Communication Design. I will be a senior this fall! I graduate in the spring and I am interested in working in the fields of Advertising, Communications, Graphic Design, or Digital Marketing. My ultimate goal is to be a CEO or Creative Director, but my dream job would be to work in the marketing office at Chick-Fila headquarters or Spurs Sports & Entertainment.
3. My favorite colors are pink and orange. They remind me of summer!
4. I love the San Antonio Spurs. Besides tennis, basketball is the only sport that I actually understand. Tim Duncan was my favorite player! All of the trades in the past couple weeks have definitely made me sad, but I still love my team!
5. I have always been a fashionista! I can remember being as young as 6 years old and picking out my clothes for the week (I’d also iron them myself too). Back in the day when Talbots Kids existed they would send catalogues in the mail and my mom would shop for me by letting me circle the things I liked and she would get a few of them.
6. I am terrified of birds! I get super nervous when I am outside and they are flying directly above me. I think this fear stems from once getting pooped on by one. (Sorry TMI, but true story!)
7. I hate pineapples and cantaloupe. I have had some pretty weird experiences with both so the smell and sight of them makes me super nauseous.
8. I have been gluten-free for 3 1/2 years. What a positive difference it has made! A lot of people think I am also vegetarian or vegan but I am not. Just gluten-free! I’ll be doing a post on why I eat gluten free and my experience so far very soon.
9. I have two left feet. In my head I think I’m killing it and have all the moves but let’s just say that the moves do not physically transpire. LOL Just ask any of my sorority sisters, pigs will fly before you will see me ace a stroll. I don’t let it stop me though, I still dance and have fun!
10. I am a Leo. A true one as I have been told!
11. I have two nicknames: Fifi and D. Obviously, “D” is short for Daria but I was coined the nickname “Fifi ‘le D” by my high school yearbook teacher and fellow staffers. Junior year it started out as a joke because I was a perfectionist of an Editor and Chief and had “poodle-like tendencies” so it just kind of stuck!
12. My favorites artists are Rihanna, Ty Dolla $ign, Drake, and Migos. I have been a huge Rihanna and Ty Dolla $ign fan since Music of the Sun and Free TC. I’d love to see them in concert! I plan to go see Drake & Migos in September and I am super excited.
13. When I was 3, I would use napkins to hold my chicken drumsticks so my hands wouldn’t get dirty. Clearly, I cared too much at 3…. So embarrassing LOL! It was actually super effective because my hands didn’t get as messy which meant I could wash my hands faster to so I could go back to playing with with my toys. DUH! Obviously I don’t do it anymore, but now you guys can understand my nickname.
14. I love 90s movies and TV shows. Clueless is my favorite movie of all time! Poetic Justice comes in second place. My favorite television show is Beverly Hills 90210 (the old version). There are so many places in Los Angeles where they filmed the show that I would love to visit them all.
15. I am 1 of the 3 people in my family who has the hazel eyes. It is so cool how genetics works! It runs on my dad’s side of the family and my great grandma, my great uncle, and I all share the exact same color of hazel eyes. Everyone else has brown eyes!
16. My alcoholic beverage of choice would be anything with rum or something sweet and fruity. Now that I am finally 21! I am actually not a big drinker but if I will drink anything with rum, wine , or something fruity like a sangria or mojito.
17. Growing up, I wanted to be a Dentist or Orthodontist. Boy have things changed…….
18. I know how to write in calligraphy! I learned at Summer Camp 10 years ago! Growing up I often thought about turning into my side hustle to make invitations, thank you cards, etc but I never got around to it.
19. My favorite stores to shop are Francescas, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, and Charlotte Russe. I do not like spending a lot of money on clothes!
20. If you see me, I am most likely snacking on something. My friends always mess with me because I am always snacking on something. My favorite snacks at the moment are Angies Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn and Noosa Yogurt.
21. One of the things on my bucket list is to go see a live taping of Wild n Out! DJ D-Wreck cut the beat!
