Happy Friday guys! I hope everyone had a great week! Mine was C-R-A-Z-Y (but let’s be honest, when is it not…..) I am a couple weeks into my last semester of undergrad and while I am only taking 12 credit hours this semester, there is a lot of material in my courses this semester and I feel like I am taking 18 credit hours. Between juggling school, work, my internship, extra-curricular activities and a social life, at times I feel like I have been running around like a chicken with their head cut off. Which is why I most definitely am ALWAYS looking forward to the weekend!
Today, while I am SO EXCITED to share this outfit I also just realized that this is my first blog post since I re-designed my blog last week! I also got a new post-signature too, Wohoo!!! I wanted something a little more sophisticated but still “me” and I am SO HAPPY with how it all turned out.
With this outfit, my favorite thing about all of these pieces is that I purchased the majority of them on sale and that they are still wearable with other items that you may have in your closet.
I love the colors in this plaid print top! Usually I tend to shy away from plaid prints just because I don’t think that they are the most flattering on me, but with the design of the shirt and how it scoops in the front, I think that it looks so cute!
On Francescas website there were a few reviews about the top running a little bit small. I will say that the arms do run a little bit small but it did not give me any problems. When I shop at Francescas, I typically gravitate between a XXS and an XS and for this particular top I went with an XXS.
Also, I am so in love with this denim mini skirt and have worn it so many times since purchasing it. I have also received so many compliments on it! It is super casual but also super cute with the gold zipper detail in the front and you can wear it out on the town, to school, a house party or on a casual date night. It does run small and is quite snug (reminder: it is a mini skirt), so I would definitely recommend sizing up! I typically wear a 0 in bottoms and I ended up purchased it in a small.
This winter one of my favorite fashion accessories have been hats! 1) Because they are so cute and can add an extra oomph to any outfit and 2) Because they can hide a bad hair day and we all have a few of those here and there (more so for this reason LOL). I love this beret because it is a rather small hat so you can still wear it inside and not feel like you have to take it off because it is too large. I also love the rhinestone accents as it adds a super girly touch!
